Without Gibbs, who is still recovering from explosion, have to fight the bad guys themselves, with Tony, as the new caffeine
addictive team leader, mimicking instinctively as if he was Gibbs (what would Gibbs do? Get more coffee).
Anyways, the episode opens up with the fact that Gibbs remembers the explosion, but the most recent one. Fresh in his
mind is the explosion of fifteen years ago. So, it's up to Dinozzo to take the helm in Gibbs place and solve the bomb
plot. The guy who Gibbs originally thought was his ally was a terrorist posing as him under the original agent's identity.
Meanwhile Gibbs during his long recovery, cannot remember the life of him what happened during the past fifteen years,
never mind that he left his office in the care of Tony. (Maybe its best he forget). It doesn't help when his mentor and ex
boss turns up luring Gibbs to the old boatyard of retirement. Also, Gibbs ex-lover and former colleague of days gone
by is not happy he doesn't remember their romantic rendezvous's in Europe during their time there (what does she expect, he's
a guy).
Feeling a little better, Gibbs returns to work, but he feels dissillusioned about his superior's objectives and throws
in the towel.
Next thing we see is Gibbs taking off, leaving the keys to Tony, and hops off to Mexico, and carries on boat building
to his heart's content.
The End.
I was feeling dissilusioned too, No Gibbs? No NCIS? Is that it?
Wrong! The team is back on FX Channel for season 4 and in fact Season 5 is due to start Sept 2007 in the U.S.
For those not on Digital in the UK, there are no dates yet specified for Channel 5 Listings. In fact, i checked Channel
5's website and there is no mention of NCIS, even though they are still showing reruns of season 1 and 2.
But you can check Channel 5's website for updates on all the CSI franchise and Season One of Criminal Minds.
