Saw it later than everyone else. Only started showing it here in
the Uk this week, first episode was Sunday, on FX channel, (Digital SKY), and is repeated Tuesdays at 10pm. Beware, need a
strong stomach, as i was about to dig into my weetabix they had to have the 'no blood scene' showing the body parts, with
no blood of course.
This Dexter character we will find empathy, the emptyness
we all feel, and I like the idea that he goes through life having to fake his nice personality just to fit in with society
and he has to hide his little secret hobby (his being a serial killer, but only the bad guys are his victims).
As each episode progresses, a lot of us will no doubt feel for this dark sadistic character and realise that we all have those
same flaws as his, well, come on, admit it. I enjoy his viewpoint on his fellow human beings, and how he has to cope being
amongst his colleagues. Watch out for the sexual chemistry, or lack of, between Dexter and his female superior.
Episode Two
finally gave us the quirky amusing intro credits, and
the hunt and the teasing between Dexter and this Ice Truck killer continues whilst he uses his blood spatter investigative
technique to solve the murder of a cop's wife.
Keep an eye out for this show and all of its dysfunctional
characters.
An unusual concept which proves that US television is
getting better, with the likes of Prison Break, and LOst, to name a few, that have caught the rest of the world's attention.
