As part of our Farewell season, we like to start off with one half
of Sci Fi's comedy duo. Dr. Carson Beckett died as only he knows how, saving another person's life. We like to dedicate this
page to Dr. Beckett and his quibbles he may have had with Dr. Rodney McKay, the overbearing astrophysicist.
This article and page is still in construction as i will recap
and reminisce the love/hate relationship between this dynamic comedy duo.

Within a few episodes of Season One, the characters
were in full swing, and it was obvious to the viewer that Becket and Rodney did not exactly hit it off, but Rodney had that
way with everyone on his team with his arrogance and cowardice. It would take two more seasons and plenty of cramped living
conditions fighting against the Wraith and other such nasty invaders that certain members of the team figured you can't change
an old dog, and thus learned to put up with his arrogance. Life's too short.
Anyway, in season one, Beckett and Rodney begin to
have their constant disagreements. One memorable scene in which Rodney discovers that he is not going to die after all from
this virus which was soon discovered that only targets the human anatomy.
"I am human!" rodney would argue repeatedly, after
a while Becket would rebutt with "Well, we've established that!" showing the physician's lack of patience for the neurotic
Rodney.
This is what makes Stargate Atlantis a must see TV
show, not only does it have the baddest of the baddies, (much worse than Borg) and of course the delicious JasonMamoa, great
lines from the Atlantis crew and of course, the on off relationship of Becket and Rodney.
It was not only till Becket's demise and sacrifice
that Rodney realised what he was missing, a friend, something he rarely encounters.
NEXT ISSUE: In October's Issue we will have a remembrance page for Law & Order's Briscoe.
